Spiders Spiders are considered a pest if they start to become a nuisance inside your property or take over your personal space. They can pose a significant risk to the safety of your family and in severe infestations, it is always best to call a professional pest controller to ensure the safe and effective removal of spiders. Treatment process for spiders A thorough inspection and assessment is conducted by your technician to identify the level of infestation, types of spider species present and areas where they are predominantly located. A residual insecticide is sprayed directly (spot treatment) to spiders and webs. To internal areas, a fine mist will be applied to skirting boards and an aerosol spray direct to spiders and webbing. To external areas, a direct spray will target areas such as gardens, fences, windows, eaves, underneath chairs and outdoor furniture, washing lines and sheds. Preventative recommendations will be provided by your technician on the day to protect your property against future infestations. All of our chemical practices/treatments under our Integrated Pest Management (IPM) program are approved by the Australian Pesticides and Veterinary Medicines Authority (APVMA). Where possible, Petrie’s Pest Control aims to use non-chemical treatments and provide alternate recommendations to our customers to help protect their homes and businesses against unwanted pests.
