Booking a general pest control service is critical to prevent pest infestations in both your home and business.

Regular pest maintenance treatments at your property are very important to keep population numbers low.

Petrie’s Pest Control’s general pest treatment is our most popular service and is most effective when performed in Spring/Summer to keep pests at bay throughout the Spring and Summer months. For best protection, it is recommended to schedule a general pest control treatment every 6-12 months to keep your property safe from the damage and health risks associated with unwanted pests.

Our general pest control treatments use only low toxic products approved by the Australian Pesticides and Veterinary Medicines Authority (APVMA) to target cockroaches (excludes German Cockroaches), webbings spiders, silverfish and internal ants.

Warranty period

For peace of mind, we cover you with a 6 month free call back warranty period for internal treatments. Our warranty takes the form of a ‘free service period’ – this means we will re-treat the pest infestation in the internal areas that were included in the original service provided. The free service period for general pest treatments does not cover spiders and ants externally.

The warranty period will be stated in the electronic service report provided at the end of your treatment and is at the discretion of the technician providing the service. For more information regarding warranties please refer to our T&Cs under “warranty conditions”.

What is the general pest control process?

• Inspection of the property and a risk assessment is carried out prior to treatment.
• Application of low toxic products through a combination of residual sprays, dusts and baits to the interior of the home, and perimeter barrier treatments to the outside.
• A thorough electronic service report will be provided to the customer post-treatment. This will include the products and quantities applied, methods of application, areas treated, the warranty period and technician’s recommendations/preventative actions to avoid future pest infestations.

The service covers treatment to the following areas:

• Internally to skirting boards, windows and door frames, cornices, crack and crevices.
• Externally to eaves, base of the building, windows and door frames, weep holes, fence lines, garages, sheds and decks.
• Roof void and subfloor if applicable.
